Multi-Station Button Tester

This machine tests the function of a button-style shifter. Compact pneumatic cylinders actuate to press the buttons in a sequence pre-determined by the user via configuration of a test profile; this test profile also determines the number of cycles and data collection parameters.

This system communicates with the shifter over ethernet via CAN protocol to read the state of the shifter as well as to communicate necessary information to the shifter in order for it to function properly. Each station functions independently and can be programmed to operate under a different test profile. This system can be used with an environmental chamber.
